Being Content With What We Have

[And it is, indeed, a source of immense profit, for] godliness accompanied with contentment (that contentment which is a sense of inward sufficiency) is great and abundant gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and obviously we cannot take anything out of the world; But if we have food and clothing, with these we shall be content (satisfied). But those who crave to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish (useless, godless) and hurtful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction and miserable perishing. (1 Timothy 6:6-9 AMP)

Test and Trials

Remember a test only comes after you’ve been given sufficient information about the subject matter. Usually a teacher teaches you a lesson before they test you on what you've been taught.

Such as it is with God, He's given us His word, He's been teaching the lessons that He wants us to know. But the question is, have we been paying attention and have you been attending classes?

If we don't spend time in His word and with Him and if we don't listen to the lessons being taught during our times of fellowship. The chances are we'll have to take the test again because the first time through we will likely fail.

God's test are designed to confirm that you are who He says you are.

Testing is nothing more than a trying of our faith.

Ain’t nothing wrong with the old way

Just because it’s the old way, doesn’t mean it’s mo longer good. We can look all around us and see how we run after the new way, but Jeremiah said ask for the ancient paths. It’s there we will find rest for our soul.

Think about the old way of raising kids.
Think about the old way of teaching in schools.
Think about the old way of respecting your elders.
Think about the old way of serving The Most High God.

The ancient paths are paths of righteousness.

“¶Thus says the Lord, “Stand by the roads and look; ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is; then walk in it, And you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it!’ [Matt 11:29]”
