The adoption fee for a Golden Endings dog varies for the age/needs per dog. This fee helps to pay the expenses incurred for the dog's medical treatment, which in many cases is less than GEGRR pays to bring the dog to an adoptable condition. Potential adopters are screened, by written application and by telephone interview. The application and the interview will help the adoption coordinator, and t

Due to there being a 100 percent chance of rain Saturday on top of daily rain this week, we are sorry to announce the Spring Picnic has been canceled. We are very sorry, but the weather is not going to be good at all.

Hope to see you in the Fall

Piper contacted me a few days ago thru Facebook, she was concerned that her family didn’t get her enough Lambies for Christmas and thought that maybe she should ask for donations to purchase more?!!
Seriously though, I don’t think Piper will ever want for anything, especially her Lambies.
Piper is a real sweetheart, she was young when she came into our rescue, but didn’t have much social interaction, but her family loves her so very much and as you can see from the photo that she’s very much spoiled!
I’m really grateful to families who adopt goldens like Piper and are willing to help her become the happy, lovable girl that she had the potential to be!
I guess Piper’s family will have to outdo themselves come next Christmas and make sure that she has enough toys, especially since Piper contacted Golden Endings with her concerns!
As I’m sure her family will tell you that she has toys all over the house and probably a few that’s tucked away somewhere else for the future!

Meet cute little rain deer Lizzie!
Lizzie’s family has been long time adopters of golden endings, so I was contacted in November of 2024 to adopt another golden, as they had lost their last girl and thought they were ready.
When I called Lizzie’s mom and let her know I had a potential golden for her, she was flying to Des Moines Iowa! So we had to settle for me sending photos, but I think she fell instantly in love with her.
After Lizzie was settled in her new home, she started classes and gained her Canine Good Citizen certification and went on to get her Novice Trick certification! The ultimate goal is earning her Therapy Dog certification and I have no doubt that Lizzie will shine in that role.
I’m so excited that one of our rescue goldens has made such accomplishments and I know Lizzie and her Mom will do great work.

Remi came into our rescue in 2022, she was a retired breeder, most of her life was spent having babies. Remi didn’t know what a home was, but thankfully I got the most wonderful application.
Remi’s hopefully new Mom came to meet her and spent some time with her. Mom knew that Remi was going to take some time to figure out what a home and family was, but I certainly couldn’t have asked for a better person to love her. I would say it was difficult adjustment for a period of time, but Remi was finally able to be where she deservedly belonged.
I’m so grateful that they took that step and adopted her. Remi is with people who love her.
I think Remi recently celebrated her 9th birthday.
I love this photo of Remi, cause it looks like she’s dreaming of Santa coming!

Now that the holidays are finally over, I wanted to feature some of goldens in their Christmas best.
This is Bree she came in around April 2024, she was going to be two years old in November, upon intake Bree had the usual work up, her bloodwork showed that she was heart worm positive. We knew that she had months of treatment ahead of her, treatment that would be painful at times and require her to be crated for extended periods.
Fortunately Bree had adopters waiting for her, including her own 10 year old boy!!
Thankfully Bree did well with the treatment and was able to be safely spayed by our Veterinarian.
Bree has a wonderful home with a family who loves her, I think that’s why she’s smiling!
Enjoy Bree’s photo in her Grinch shirt.
