SEVERE WEATHER RISK TODAY:

It isn't a major threat by any means, but we do have a level 1-of-5 risk of severe weather in place across central and northern Ohio today. Gusty to damaging winds are possible alongside heavy rain, isolated flash flooding and lightning.

RECORD-BREAKING HEAT DOME NEXT WEEK:

The period July 12th to 17th has the real potential to feature another high-impact heat dome across the middle of the U.S. This heat dome, according to model data, could become the most intense one to occur for about a dozen states. The result? Extreme and intense heat.

Determining just how brutal things will be will come down to the exact placement and intensity of the heat dome. That is not set in stone YET. But man, this looks very un-fun.
