In 1979, Mary Leavitt started selling American flags from the trunk of her car. It didn’t take long for locals to begin lovingly calling her the Flag Lady. She opened her first storefront here in Columbus in 1984, and we’ve been proudly known as the Flag Lady’s Flag Store ever since. We’re now owned and operated by the second generation, Lori Leavitt Watson, and her mother Mary still comes in ever
