legendary. His long rectangular living room with hard wood floors and sparse furnishings had walls filled with some of the best work from local, prominent and emerging artists. It was an art gallery, as was the rest of his home. The guest list to numerous parties held there usually included heads of local arts organizations, some of the best Columbus artists, politicians and close friends alined with the arts. Rigsby’s Kitchen was the preferred caterer. We named Ray’s Living Room after Ray Hanely when we opening our gallery/event space in the spring of 2010.
