It’s been so long since I last shared an actual post, I couldn’t find the button 🤦‍♀️ we will be working on that in 2026–along with a slew of other updates.

This is one of my favorite projects (circa 2023) and it represents a turning point in our service. This was one of the first projects where we combined renovations + furnishing—giving the whole home a beautiful synergy.

Check it out! 🎉 I’ve been accepted into the 10,000 Small Businesses Program! I’m eager to dig into developing the structure of this company while connecting with fellow small business folks right here in central Ohio. 🤍

I’ve got big, big, big dreams for what’s next for SHS: a showroom, a growing team and prioritizing sustainable and vintage material selections for our projects.

It’s not going to happen overnight, but with all the success SHS has had in a few short years, it’s exciting to think about what’s next. Here’s to making our small businesses BIG!

With that said, if we haven’t spoken yet this year, we are likely booked out into 2026. So if you want to get on our schedule for winter, now’s the time to reach out.

Renovations are fueled by process and they take shape over month and months or even years.

They take shape in the form of inspiration images, 3D visuals, construction documents, demo, cabinet installs, countertop installs, layering in accessories and furniture. It just takes time.

If the past few years have taught me anything (and they’ve taught me a LOT) it’s that staying involved throughout the renovation process is critical. I’m the “idea generator” and I do my best to document and clearly communicate early on, but while things take shape there are often shifts. And it’s also easier to really “see” as space in real life vs on a computer.

Moral of the story: I’m making construction oversight a must-have vs. a nice-to-have bc it makes renovations go 1,000x better. And who doesn’t want a slam dunk reno???
