Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh has announced that he will be eligible to contest for the presidency of the Republic of Sierra Leone. According to Dr. Sengeh, he will qualify to seek his party flagbearer position in 2027, paving the way for a possible presidential bid ahead of the country future elections.

He made the statement while discussing his political future, noting that 2027 will mark the year he becomes eligible to contest for the flagbearer position.
