AKC National Championship Dog Show

AKC National Agility Championship – March 15-17, 2024..
This annual event does not have a fixed date and participants have to wait for the official announcement from the event’s organizers. The championship is a dog sport in which the dog is directed by the dog’s owner to go through a pre-set obstacle course within a certain time limit. Courses will have about 14 to 20 obstacles, which include tunnels, weave poles, tire jumps, seesaws, and pause tables where the dog is required to pause for a set amount of time. At each specific trial, the dog and the owner must race around the courses designed for the day, and the dog must depend solely on the owner’s body language to direct them throughout the course. This year, the A.K.C. National Championship will run from March 15 to 17.

Also known as UpDog, competitions have taken the basic game of fetch with a flying disc and expanded it into a whole bunch of fun games. Four of those games — Frizgility, Time Warp, Spaced Out, and Far Out — are played as part of the AKC Disc Dog Challenge, presented by The Farmer’s Dog to figure out which dog was the best with the flying disc.
