The Bloom Division

Figured it’s been long enough and it’s time for a little reintroduction here on the Bloom page.

My name’s Ross Theisen and I’m a Creative Director and the invisible hand behind Bloom Division.
Although most of you who follow this page likely already know me, as we’ve worked together, I figured why not toss out a refresher of a history lesson.

I craft release campaign assets for musicians via the tools of graphic design, photography and videography. I’ve legit been at it for a decade! How?
Fresh out of high school I was in local bands in my small Ohio town, and two things happened.
1. I didn’t want to have a normal job as I entered the real world.
2. As I encountered the music industry and learned my way around it, I realized I focused WAY more on marketing and branding than anything else.

So, the journey began of teaching myself graphic design (was REALLY bad at the start) and then eventually that lead me into the world of photo/video. All the while learning the general in’s and outs of social media marketing, effectively helping me complete the tool belt to help bands and artists make their releases better.
I enjoyed creating these things and helping bands find their visual identity, thus taking the stress of their shoulders so they could focus more on just being a band. I locked the name “Bloom Division” in my head a couple years into it and after a while decided it was time to showcase the work I’d been doing and make it official.

So, here we are! I love helping bands craft their visuals, in any shape and form, and have been lucky enough to see Creative Direction turn into a portion of my career.
From being in bands, to befriending them, to designing for them, to taking photos, to directing music videos, to crafting campaigns.

You write the songs, I’ll make it look pretty. Let’s get to work 🎨
