We are thrilled to announce that CSE alumna Duygu Ucar, PhD has been named the Florine Deschenes Roux Chair for Genomics and Computational Biology at The Jackson Laboratory!

Dr. Ucar completed her PhD in Computer Science in 2009 under the guidance of Professor Srinivasan Parthasarathy. From her doctoral research at Ohio State to her current pioneering work using machine learning to decode the aging immune system, Dr. Ucar is a true leader at the intersection of data science and human health. This prestigious honor recognizes her dedication to extending the global "healthspan" through computational innovation.
