Hey New Momma
05/02/2022
They say "Do something creative!" π¨ but with 2 rambunctious kids running around, uh, needlepoint and watercolor painting may not prove the most enjoyable, let alone, possible, activities. Use what you have Momma! Get messy! And remember "mistakes" are a necessary part of art and perfection is rarely fun or interesting. π

If you're strugglin' to keep up with a screen-free, all organic, handmade clothes and only wooden toys, etc lifestyle... well this book is for you.
Raise your handπ if you know the amazing Beth Berry !
I first found Beth here on instagram and after reading a few excerpts from her book Motherwhelmed I immediately ordered it and later bought it 2 more times for my friends.
It came to me at a time in my life when I knew something was wrong, I just didnt know what. I was hustling to be the perfect mom and start my own business and grow my youtube channel but I just felt like crap all the time. π€·ββοΈ
I was burnt out and lost.
Beth's book shows us that mothers have been put in a uniquely awful position where we must choose to sacrifice ourselves or be demonized for not meeting social expectations.
I think this book should be mandatory for all new moms. Because no one should feel immense guilt or shame for feeding their kid a corndog so they can shower one day or work on their novel for 20 minutes the next or whatever else fills you up in that moment that society tells you you should sacrafice, not for your kids sake, but for the sake of meeting this new level of "perfection".
