It is also in the prestigious Lexington-Richland School District #5. Whitehall is a great place to live. The Whitehall Homeowners Association was formed in 1989 by residents who saw a need for an association to:

• Provide community spirit
• Encourage compliance with deed restrictions and covenants
• Provide a collective voice to obtain enforcement of local zoning ordinances and laws
• Encourage preservation of the environment and promote recycling activities
• Protect the residential character and quality of our neighborhood
• Secure resolutions and actions on other matters affecting our subdivision and surrounding community

The Association operates as a voluntary organization pursuant to a set of By-laws. It has a nine member Board of Directors, which includes four officers, and which meets approximately once per month. General meetings for all residents of Whitehall are held twice per year, in the spring and fall. All homeowners are considered members of the Association, but may only vote if they have paid the current annual dues. Association Board members work in cooperation with other organizations in our community, including the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, the Irmo Fire District, and the Seven Oaks Recreation Center. The Association encourages cooperative efforts to maintain the value and quality of our neighborhood. The Association supports the Whitehall Garden Club and other neighborhood appearance projects, as well as friendly get-togethers within Whitehall, such as block parties and holiday activities. The Association publishes periodic newsletters throughout the year, and encourages participation and communication among our neighbors through our online NextDoor site, as well as through the page for the Homeowners Association.
