🚬 Did you know cigarette butts are still the #1 most littered item in America?

The newly released 2026 National Litter Study from Keep America Beautiful found that while litter overall has declined by an impressive 34%, cigarette litter continues to be the nation's most common form of litter.

That's why PalmettoPride's Cigarette Litter Prevention Program is helping communities across South Carolina tackle the problem with proven solutions.

Participating communities receive FREE cigarette receptacles, educational materials, and outreach support to encourage proper disposal—and some have seen cigarette litter reduced by up to 50% within just a few months.
