Systema is a system of martial arts developed in Russia and perfected by the Elite Military Units of Spetznas to provide soldiers with practical real world solutions on the battlefield whether injured, out numbered, or fighting unarmed against multiple armed aggressors. Because of the development and emphasis on maintaining a soldiers ability to fight even if wounded or facing other extreme disadvantages Systema is uniquely suited to todays challenging environments.

Good description of work here, understanding body mechanics and how to take advantage of someone else’s motion, how to move inside. Your opponent won’t understand they are in trouble until it is too late.
Usually when you see demonstrations of Aikido there is a lot of flourish and wasted motion. This is nice and clean work with no wasted movement, look familiar?
