We would like to spotlight Marlena Slatick at our Richland facility.

Marlena has been with AVANTech for 6 years, a year after the 2018 acquisition of MCE in Richland. Marlena is a project specialist currently supporting the AMPS and WARM projects and is responsible for all of the document control and submittals which is no small task, paper for this project comes by the truckload! Marlena is also making sure other project deliverables such as IXC inventory, and accruals happen without fail. Prior to this most recent assignment Marlena handled all of the purchasing and coordination of maintenance for the Richland office. She was and still is the glue that hold the place together. We are fortunate to have Marlena on the team. Thanks for everything you do and for your great smile!

This week, we’re proud to spotlight Daniel Cain for his impactful work in advancing our presence in the growing markets for Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and Gen IV Advanced Reactors (ARs). Daniel is actively promoting our cutting-edge water and waste processing systems, combining deep process engineering expertise with regular client engagement. His strong technical background in nuclear power plant operations enables him to develop innovative, customized solutions that address complex water management challenges. Whether it’s through optimizing designs, enhancing system performance, or building strong relationships within the existing commercial nuclear fleet, Daniel plays a vital role in driving our mission forward.

Larry and Bob are on the move again! Catch them this week at the NSA RP-ALARA Summer Meeting in beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC.

Representing AVANTech, they’ll be exhibiting at the event and are looking forward to connecting with both new and familiar faces. This meeting provides a great platform to discuss RP- ALARA principles, and the latest innovations in nuclear safety and operations.
