Your outfit can make a difference on a hot day. Light-colored clothing reflects sunlight and can help keep you cooler than dark colors. Choose lightweight, loose-fitting clothes when spending time outdoors this summer.

What happens when students grow their own food? They learn, explore, and taste the rewards!
During the 2025–2026 school year, students at seven Howard County schools used Gardyn Hydroponic Systems to grow fresh vegetables, herbs, and flowers right in their classrooms.
This initiative is led by the Howard County Food Council, a partnership between the Howard County Health Department and of Maryland Extension-Howard County. See all the photos at: https://www.flickr.com/photos/hocohealth/albums/72177720334568766/
