ry is the ancient art form of creatively sculpting and pruning trees and shrubs into different shapes and sizes, such as spirals, and pom-poms that look like little spheres. A perfect example of topiary is from the movie Edward ScissorHands. Property Artist and Owner, Mike Gibson, has over 20+ years of self-taught landscaping experience. Learning from great topiary artist such as Pearl Fryar and Jake Hobson, he was able to develop his own technique that has earned him the nickname, Gibby ScissorHands. To help beautify the properties in his hometown of Youngstown, OH and surrounding areas, Gibson combined his passion for art and landscaping to start his own company in 2015. Over the past few years, Gibson has already beautified properties all over Ohio, including Cleveland, Columbus and as far as Dayton. GWPA has been partnering with local organizations to help in the continued efforts to revitalize and beautify the city of YOUngstown, one lot at a time.
