It's a jazz fusion/progressive rock show for tonight.

Hour 1 starts off with The New Tony Williams Lifetime; a bit of prog rock with a couple cuts from Steven Wilson's 2013 release "The Raven That
Refused To Sing"; then some Billy Cobham; and then the first incarnation of The Mahavishnu Orchestra with John McLaughlin.

Hour 2 consists of European and Norwegian jazz with the music of German bassist, Eberhard Weber; then the music of Norwegian jazz guitarist Terje
Rypdal; we then close out with a couple cuts from American experimental trumpet player Jon Hassell.

That's all tonight on Uncommon Light - Progressive Music for Dangerous Times. Midnight to 2am CST (-6:00 GMT) only on your listener supported

Tonight I start off with some classic Progressive Rock with music from Genesis, Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett recorded Live, a classic Strawbs selection as well as music from Jean-Michel Jarre.

Hour 2 starts off with King Crimson from their classic 1973 album: "Larks Tongues In Aspic", we'll listen to Part 1 of the title track, Live King Crimson is next from the Live album "Radical Action to Unseat The Hold of Monkey Mind". I switch gears slightly into a more Progressive Jazz/Rock mood with music from Return To Forever and then some live Pat Metheny Group recorded in 1978 at The Bottom Line in NYC, and another Live cut from "The Road To You".
