Most jumpers don’t pull their hamstring because they’re weak—they pull it because they skip these exercises.💭

Like any other athlete, we are always prone to injury. Especially with having such a long season that we have. These are few exercises I like to do to help prevent hamstring injuries❤️‍🩹

“How do I get more height in the long jump? 🤔⬇️

Most athletes think height comes from jumping harder.

In reality, it starts with what happens at takeoff.

✅ Foot Strike — Attack the board with an active foot underneath your center of mass. A strong strike creates the foundation for vertical lift.

✅ Arm Punch — Drive the arms aggressively upward at takeoff to help transfer force and elevate the body.

✅ Knee Drive — Punch the free knee through and up. A powerful knee drive helps create lift while keeping your posture in a strong position.

Height isn’t about reaching for the sky—it’s about applying force efficiently into the ground.

Determining an athletes approach can be tricky but by factoring in the things that can contribute can make it much easier ‼️

Remember all athletes arnt the same, be able to adapt and use a different approach when necessary. Also take into consideration the factors that can help you determine stage lengths, especially the drive phase portion 🏃🏽‍♂️💨
