There are many details to iron out when building a RAS. With various filtration and sterilization methods available, it can be overwhelming. One of our favorite methods of solids removal is micro screen drum filters. When installed at proper elevations, a gravity fed drum filter saves you on operational expenses compared to pressurized filtration methods. Oceans Design is a proud distributor of Trome's HDPE drum filter line. Models TM-1 through TM-4 cover a range of flow rates from 20 to 330 GPM and can be utilized on small research systems to large hatchery operations. These compact units help when footprint is limited and the HDPE units offer durable corrosion resistance.
