“When a great adventure is offered you don’t refuse it”—Amelia Earhart
: when was offered a spontaneous trip to Canada
She was told it had to be on her own, no one to share meals with or explore a new place with. But she said yes anyway.
She researched the New York Time Spots to visit and then she booked herself a flight on one of the three reamaining in Canada.
She booked a tour of parliament and while she learned of their politics she also learned that the roof under construction was 200 year old copper being replaced by the company where her dad works.
She said Even though the journey was unknown and alone and instead discovered new heights and her roots.
Some sparks give us the power to go around the world, some the power to talk to the stranger next to us. The power of the spark is seeing it, not refusing it, and then using the heck out of it.

Do it for the joy it brings...
*
When we set out on a purpose we will got knocked down and fail. It’s the rising time after time where we find the joy to look ourselves in the mirror and say “you are a badass unicorn, thanks for being you.”

“Every search begins with beginner’s luck. And every search ends with the victor’s being severely tested.” —Paulo Coelho *

Beginners luck is the spark— but to start a fire you need kindling and oxygen and patience. You can’t pack all your logs too tight or your fire won’t catch. Too little and it will burn out before it is started. The luck feels good— but perseverance is the fuel to build a fire. Let yourself be tested. Let yourself fail. Let yourself grow stronger and burn brighter than anything the first spark from the match ever dreamt it could become. *
