It’s that time of year again- time to trim fruit trees. The window of opportunity seems even shorter this year. We need temps below freezing to keep fire blight dormant. After February its best to leave the fruit trees alone until next winter. If you have to make a cut or two after February, be sure to disinfect tools and seal cuts.

This 21 year old kid has proved himself so many times over. He learns faster than anyone I have trained in my 25 years in forestry. When the other guys bailed, he stayed by my side. He’s a great young man with a ton of integrity. He is a blessing coming through the darkness… Eric (peacock)- you have made it into the fold.
