RITON UPDATE – TACTICAL GAMES REGIONAL | RUPERT, IDAHO
Stage 2 complete.
The spinner was one of those obstacles that rewards patience, consistency, and solid fundamentals. I was able to successfully complete the spinner and keep moving through the course.
The Tactical Games continues to be a test of fitness, marksmanship, problem-solving, and mental discipline. Every stage presents a new challenge, and today was no different.
Huge thanks to Riton Optics for supporting competitors who demand performance when it matters most. Time to refuel, recover, and get ready for the next stage.

Exercise and Dry Fire for The Tactical Games
Barriers are an important part of The Tactical Games, but they’re only one piece of the puzzle. Efficient weapon handling can save valuable time and prevent costly penalties.
This drill combines movement, positional shooting, and target acquisition through multiple ports, while reinforcing one of the most overlooked skills in competition: clearing procedures.
Before every transition, stage completion, or movement sequence, make sure you can:
✅ Clear your rifle efficiently and confidently
✅ Clear your pistol without hesitation
✅ Maintain muzzle awareness throughout the process
✅ Verify the firearm’s condition before moving on
✅ Perform the procedure consistently under stress and fatigue
The fastest competitor isn’t always the one who shoots the quickest—it’s often the athlete who manages every task efficiently while remaining safe and deliberate.
Train the shooting. Train the movement. Train the fitness.
But don’t neglect the administrative gun handling skills that can make or break a stage.
