𝐖𝐑𝐲 are π’π¨π¦πž 𝐈𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 or Designs NOT 𝐏𝐫𝐒𝐧𝐭-π‘πžπšππ²?
With the modern-day use of AI tools, more people than ever are creating graphics themselves. These tools can be great for ideas and inspiration, but when it comes to printing graphics for vehicles, signs, and banners, many of the files people send over aren’t always the best or highest quality for print.

Let us explain it!
β€’ Not all images are created the same:
Most images you see online are low resolution RGB color spaces made up of tiny squares called pixels. These images works great for websites and social media and anything being displayed on a screen. However, when those images are enlarged for wraps, banners, or signage, they can become blurry or grainy.
Print graphics are usually vector files, which means they can scale to any size without losing quality.
β€’ Changing the file type doesn’t change the image:
We sometimes receive files that have been converted from JPG, PNG, TIF, to EPS, AI, or even PDF. While the file type changed, the image inside is still the same low-resolution graphic. Simply saving or converting a file doesn’t turn it into a vector. Many times depending on how the image is being handled or sent can also lower the overall image quality.
β€’ Graphics need to fit real-world measurements:
Images found online or generated by software don’t know the exact size of what they are to be used for nor can these different ai platforms generally produce clean printable designs. Designers have to properly size, color and prepare graphics to fit the real-world applications.
β€’ Logos and artwork often need to be rebuilt:
Low-resolution images, screenshots, or generated graphics often need to be redrawn so the lines, shapes, and fonts are clean enough for large-format printing.

We at Rapt Signs do our best to go over and correct your artwork to make sure it not only looks great, but also prints correctly in the real world.
