🎆 Thank You, Collegedale! 🇺🇸

Last night’s Freedom Festival looked a little different than years past. Attendance was the lowest we’ve seen in decades, with some parking lots less than half full and others sitting completely empty.

But here’s what didn’t change…

🎶 The music was outstanding.
😊 The people who came were incredible.
❤️ The community spirit was alive and well.
🎇 And the fireworks were spectacular‼️

To everyone who joined us, thank you. Whether you came for the live music, spent time with family and friends, or stayed to enjoy the fireworks, you helped make the evening special. We were grateful to celebrate our nation’s freedom alongside each of you.

Events aren’t measured only by the size of the crowd; they’re measured by the memories made, the smiles shared, and the community that comes together. Last night had plenty of these.

From all of us at the Collegedale Police Department, thank you for spending part of your Independence Day weekend with us. We hope you had a safe and enjoyable holiday.

A crash occurred on Main Street when one vehicle backed into another in a parking lot.

A caller on McDonald Road reported a door‑to‑door solicitor who would not leave when asked. Contact was made with an individual in the area who confirmed having the proper licenses for door‑to‑door pest control sales.

A warrant arrest occurred at the Police Station after an individual was ordered into custody for failure to appear.

A caller on Ooltewah‑Georgetown Road reported a malfunctioning left turn signal at a nearby intersection. Officers located the issue, and dispatch notified Chattanooga.

Another warrant arrest was made at the Police Station for an individual with a bond revocation warrant stemming from a charge of driving on a suspended license.

A caller on University Drive reported that a dog charged at a relative while walking. No one was bitten. Contact with the homeowner was unsuccessful, and the Humane Society was notified.

A caller reported a possible intoxicated driver at a business on Elementary Way. Nothing was located.

A reported fight at an apartment complex pool on City Station Drive was checked and determined to be unfounded.

While patrolling a neighborhood, officers heard an audible alarm on Valmont. Contact was made with residents, and the alarm was determined to be a utility issue.

A person was observed sitting on a bench near a school on College Drive East during business checks. The individual was simply waiting to play basketball with a friend.
