“I first joined Leias looking for a community of girls who were also eager to get more involved. I have formed some of the most genuine friendships in Leias, and as a pre-vet major, Leias having an animal-based philanthropy was so perfect. I decided to become a Public Relations Chair because being in the PR committee confirmed how much I love what we do behind the scenes: connecting with the community and preserving the memories we make in Leias. I find so much joy in capturing meaningful moments that show the bonds between our girls, and being a PR Chair has been so rewarding, getting to share those moments with the community.”- McKenna Baker

“Coming into A&M, I knew I wanted to join an organization that shared the same values as me and felt like a home away from home. I found that in Leias. As an only child coming to such a big school without knowing anyone, it was a little intimidating, but Leias welcomed me with open arms and gave me the sisters I never had. I wanted to become the Public Relations Officer so I could show others just how amazing this organization truly is and highlight the moments and impact we share through our work with Urgent Animals of Hearne.”- Mia Guerra

“I first fell in love with LEIAS when I attended a meet and greet before joining. Meeting the officers and members, I was immediately welcomed with so much kindness, and it truly felt like home. Since then, that feeling has never changed. I love being surrounded by such sweet, genuine girls at all of our events, and I’ve made some of my closest friends through this organization. I wanted to become an officer to give back to an org that has given me so much. After shadowing, I saw how much effort the previous philanthropy co-chairs put into their events, and I was inspired to continue their work of helping raise funds for URGENT alongside such amazing women”- Torrynce Armstrong

“Hi, my name is Natalie Perez , and i’m a senior Human Resources Development major from New Braunfels, Texas! I chose Leias because I was looking for genuine friendships, and during recruitment, that’s exactly what I found. The girls I talked to were incredibly welcoming and authentic, which made it easy to connect and build real relationships. I decided to become an officer because I wanted to give back to the organization that has given me so much!
