ical family and began studying music at age 6. By high school, I was performing with professional bands, orchestras, and other ensembles, as well as composing my own pieces. In addition to my formal education, I have studied with many of the top musicians in the world including legendary drummer Joe Morello and the celebrated jazz pianist Michael LeDonne. I have worked with hundreds of students over the years, and have given lectures and workshops at middle schools, high schools, and colleges throughout the United States. I have also authored five Everything GuideⓇ music instruction books for Adams Media, Inc. Additionally, I am the Jazz Director at the Haldane School District. As a composer, my music has been featured at Kleinhans Music Hall, Voxman Music Building, Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts with upcoming concerts at the University of Oxford and the University of St. Andrews (UK). Additionally, I have received National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and Meet the Composer music grants, and my recordings have been reviewed by journalists around the globe. As a performer, I have played a wide variety of music—from rock to jazz to classical—and have performed and/or recorded with some of the finest musicians in the world, including Grammy, Oscar, and Emmy winning artists.
