Why I'm Mad as Hell at Getty Music Right Now | Digital Music News 04/15/2017

Some time ago I heard a professional musician refer to the Getty Images Music, as it is now called, as "greedy Getty". Here is a very important article for professional musicians wondering how to protect their music and performances with regard to the Getty company which does seem to play games with musicians to control their music. http://www.digitalmusicnews.com/2014/03/28/madashellgetty/

Why I'm Mad as Hell at Getty Music Right Now | Digital Music News Why Getty Music is suddenly on the wrong side of artists and musicians, and guilty of devaluing music by forcing artists to sign a really bad deal.

This is for guitar players who lack interest or finger strength for bar chords. Bar chords look cool but they are not really necessary to play most songs. The goal is mainly to play a range of low, middle and high tones at the same time, most of the time. Here are the chords you can play easily with 5 of the strings on your 6 string guitar: A, C, D,and F. Chords E and G are easy to play with all 6 strings. So, right there you have a good range of tones covered. I use a capo for songs in keys where I have to play a B chord or would need a bar chord. The capo makes playing more comfortable for me. Some players like moving the F chord shape up to make a G or an A and more. That's fine. You are still using 5 strings comfortable to play those. The D and A shapes are also used in bar chord positions. In those cases I just play 3 notes for the D as I move it up, if I have any reason to do so. On the A I can use four strings comfortably. But, overall, I just use the capo and, if need be, a few strings of a chord I must move to reach. Hope this helps some struggling guitar players.

My Bubba: NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert 04/09/2017

My latest late "discovery" of another great Tiny Desk Concerts performance. The first song was very different and held me in for the whole show. These ladies both drive trains, working together and writing together. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzzVdi3HOfU
