The Covenant of Silent Kinship

The elders say the world is held together
by relations unseen but never absent.
No being walks without witness—
for every breath is answered
by another breath in return.

There is a law older than naming,
that strength is not found in standing apart.
It lives in the patient art of listening,
where even the wildest spirit learns
to move without harm.

All creatures are teachers of balance,
showing that trust is the root of survival.
What approaches with gentleness is never an enemy,
but a reminder that fear
is not the oldest truth.

The heart is guided by this quiet knowing,
that encounter is a form of prayer.
To meet another soul is to be changed,
without loss, without claim,
only deepening into understanding.

And so the path continues without end,
woven through respect and recognition.
Nothing is ever alone beneath the sky—
all things return to the same circle,
where memory becomes belonging.
