A lot of you have been sharing that you tried building your website with AI and it just did not work out the way you hoped. Same thing as I shared on the podcast yesterday.
Honestly? I do not think AI is quite there yet for the building part.
But I do think it is a really powerful tool for auditing what you already have.
🚨 That’s why I’m hosting a workshop: How to Use AI to Audit Your Homepage and Finally Know What to Fix 🚨
It’s scheduled for Wednesday, June 3 at 11am and if you can’t make it live, when you register I’ll send you the replay and prompts.

Leah reached out after listening to my podcast. She was launching her landscape design business in Seattle after nearly two decades in the industry.
She had the expertise. The GORGEOUS project photography. A fresh brand identity.
What she didn't have was a website. And she knew she couldn't launch without one.
Smart move.
I see so many people try to launch first and "add a website later." Then they're six months in, struggling to look professional, with nowhere to send potential clients who want to see their work.
We built Leah a site that showcases her Pacific Northwest expertise, displays her project photography beautifully, and integrates with HoneyBook so she can manage leads from day one.
Now she has a professional foundation to build on. When she networks, hands out business cards, or promotes her services, she has somewhere credible to send people.
No apologizing for an outdated site. No making excuses. Just a solid online presence that backs up her expertise.
Your website isn't something you add when you're "more established." It's what helps you get established in the first place.
Congrats, Leah. I'm so excited for you and your new biz!

After 20 years in business, Pool People had a problem most companies would love...too many inquiries!
But here's the catch—90% were from people they couldn't help.
Wrong pool type. Wrong service area. Wrong expectations about availability.
Eric was spending hours every week on the phone answering the same questions because his 2010 one-page website wasn't doing any of this screening work.
So we rebuilt it with strategy:
The Contact Page
→ Screens for pool type before submission
→ Verifies service area automatically
→ Sets expectations about waitlist upfront
SEO-Optimized Service Pages
→ Each service clearly lists what IS and ISN'T included
→ Local keywords for North Shore families searching
Values-Driven Copy
→ "We do what we say, when we say it"
→ Positioned waitlist as quality signal, not limitation
→ Made careers page prominent to attract team members
The result? The website now does the qualification work Eric used to do manually.
THIS is what strategic website design looks like for service businesses. And why I loooove what I do.
What's one thing your website could automate for you???

🎉 100 EPISODES! 🎉
I can hardly believe I'm typing this, but today marks the 100th episode of Website Design Made Simple!
This journey started when I was staring at an expensive camera I'd bought for YouTube, feeling completely uncomfortable with video. I didn't want to worry about perfect outfits, makeup, or lighting setups.
But I had so much website knowledge I wanted to share with small business owners like you.
So I put down that camera, grabbed a microphone from Amazon, and thought "What if I just talked instead?"
Best decision ever!
Over these 100 episodes, I've learned business lessons that apply directly to your website:
👉 Authenticity beats polish every time (people want the real you, not a perfect facade)
👉Consistency matters more than perfection (small, regular improvements win)
👉 What makes you different makes you valuable (stop hiding your unique approach!)
👉 It's better to attract 10 ideal clients than 100 wrong ones
👉Teaching your method actually makes you the expert
Community forms when you focus on serving others
The biggest lesson? The moment I stopped trying to be what I thought I should be and started being authentically me...that's when everything clicked.
Your website needs this same transformation. Stop trying to sound like everyone else and start embracing what makes you uniquely you!!
Thank you for being part of this incredible journey. Whether you've been here since episode 1 or just discovered the show, I'm so grateful for this amazing community! 💕
