Anti-gun politicians have longed for the day when they can finally unleash their microstamping scheme on California gun owners.

And it looks like next week, they'll get their chance...

That's because on May 19th, the Legislature will hear the first anti-gun bills since the beginning of COVID-19.

Specifically, the Assembly Public Safety Committee will hear the following bills:

AB 2847 - Microstamping requirements
AB 2362 - Increased dealer fines for inconsequential violations
TAKE A STAND

We cannot overstate how awful AB 2847 would be for California gun owners.

The bill would would ostensibly make it "easier" for gun manufacturers to comply with CA's microstamping requirement.

But what this would mean is California would then be able to strip every firearm currently on the Roster.

Meanwhile, many companies would either be unable or unwilling to comply with this costly and burdensome requirement.

In other words, California is making a play for a TOTAL BAN ON HANDGUNS!

California: They Just Can't Help Themselves, Anti-Gun Bills Scheduled for May 19th!

This week, the California Assembly returned to work after an extended recess due to the COVID-19 crisis. The word was that the legislature would return to focus on certain priority issues. While we all crave to return to some level of normalcy, one thing we were hoping to leave behind was the continued assault on our Second Amendment Rights by the California Legislature. However, they just can't help themselves.

The Assembly Public Safety Committee has announced their agenda for the May 19 hearing and you guessed it, your gun rights are on the table! Please use the contact information below to call AND email the members of the Assembly Public Safety Committee today and urge them to OPPOSE AB 2847 and AB 2362!

* As previously reported, the legislature has implemented new social distancing policies which include limited access to the Capitol, reduced staff size, and special protocols for policy hearings. To read more about the social distancing policies, please click here.

Tuesday May 19 - Assembly Public Safety Committee Hearing:

AB 2847, sponsored by Assembly Member David Chiu (D-17), revises the criteria for handguns to be certified for sale in California by requiring the microstamp to be imprinted in one place on the interior of the handgun (currently requires two imprinting locations) in addition to the other current requirements. It would further require the department to remove three certified handguns from the list for each new handgun added. It should be noted that no new semi-automatic handguns have been added to the California handgun roster since microstamping was certified in 2013. This legislation is nothing more than an effort to continue to shrink the options you have to protect yourself and your family. To read more about California's microstamping law click here.

AB 2362, sponsored by Assembly Member Al Muratsuchi (D-66), authorizes the Department of Justice to levy monetary fines on licensed fi****ms dealers, in addition to the existing enforcement mechanisms which includes, up to the revocation of a dealer's license. This increased authority to levy fines up to $1,000 for minor violations is ripe for abuse and could ultimately drive dealers out of business for inconsequential violations.

hanks to the California government, gun confiscations are about to get a whole lot worse.

In a recent guidance document, tyrant AG Becerra announced the State can now extend ex parte gun confiscation orders by 3 months.

In other words, now not only can your guns be taken away based on lies (and without due process) but the State can decide to "hold onto" them even longer.

FIGHT THE TYRANTS

Under any normal circumstance, this would be considered a shocking abuse of power. But in California, it's called Thursday.

That's because the tyrannical leadership that hates you and your guns is willing to use any means necessary to render you defenseless and dependent on the Newsom regime.

First, the tyrants bulled gun stores into closing. Then the State delayed background checks. And now the Government is going full bore on massive confiscation.

FIGHT THE TYRANTS

Db, it's a common joke among gun owners that we live in the People's Republic of California.

Your Second Amendment rights here barely exist, and it's frankly unthinkable that things could get any worse. But they are.

And unless we can stop Newsom and his crazy cronies, they're going to obliterate the Second Amendment by summertime.
