With snow on the way, now’s a good time to prepare your home so you’re not scrambling later. A little prep goes a long way:
• 🏠 Insulate exposed pipes to help prevent freezing
• 💧 Let faucets drip slightly during extreme cold
• 🔥 Check your heating system and set a safe, consistent temperature
• 🔦 Have flashlights, batteries, and candles ready in case of power outages
• 🥫 Stock up on essentials — food, water, medications, and pet supplies
• 🔋 Charge phones and backup chargers ahead of time
• 🚪 Seal doors and windows to keep cold air out
• 🧂 Salt walkways and steps early to prevent ice buildup
• 🚗 Park vehicles away from trees if heavy snow or ice is expected
