This week, off-duty firefighters had the opportunity to volunteer as patients for the Physician Assistant Program at Mississippi College, which was both an honor and a pleasure.

Congratulations to Deputy Chief Jake DeLaughter on his well-deserved retirement!
Over his 25-year career, Jake demonstrated incredible dedication, rising through the ranks from firefighter to Deputy Chief. Our department hasn't just gained a leader; we’ve gained a family. It has been a true privilege to watch Jake and his wife, Theresa, raise their three sons, seeing them grow from children into the impressive young men they are today.
Jake, thank you for your service and leadership. We wish you and your family the very best in this next chapter!

🔥 BURN BAN UNTIL APRIL 1, 2026 🔥

Hinds County has issued a burn ban which includes the City of Clinton. After the grass fire we fought last week, we had a feeling this was coming.

What does this mean?

- Absolutely NO burning. It's beautiful weather and everyone wants to clean their yards. This cannot include burning limbs.
- Absolutely NO outside burning - This DOES include fire pits, but does not include grills. Please keep all grills attended to when cooking.
- MS State Code 49-19-351 Any person who knowingly and willfully violates an order under this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and may be fined not less than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) nor more than Five Hindred Dollars ($500.00).
