I have completed Certified Dog Obedience Trainer /Instructor Training. Not counting the years growing up with pets, I have over 30 years experience working with animals. I've worked as a Pet Nutrition Consultant, and as a Veterinarian Assistant for over 5 years. In addition to assisting with exams, surgeries and doing dental cleanings, I cared for boarders and hospitalized patients. I did preliminary exams, client education, advising clients on diet, shedding, oral hygiene and parasite prevention. The education also covered dog and cat behavior problems and basic puppy and dog obedience. For 17 years I was a volunteer and part time employee at the Cincinnati Zoo. Over the years I did educational presentations for schools and adult groups, working with a variety of small mammals, reptiles and birds. I also assisted with training tigers, lions, cheetahs, a cougar and other cats for shows. I even kept the cougar at my home for a week. I used the "Leave It" command a lot that week! I raised baby raccoons, opossums and kept macaws and other animals from the zoo at my home also. The neighbors loved it! I've cared for pets all my life. Currently I have two Irish Setters and an Irish Red and White Setter I also have a Ball Python, that I have had since 1983,
