TROOP 10
In 2019 Troop 10 linked with a female unit sponsored by the same charter, and on September 1, 2024 became one of the first co-ed Troops in the United States. TROOP 10 is the oldest Boy Scout Troop in the Cherokee Area Council, which is located in Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia.

CAMP STOVE WARS 2026 got off to a anxiety inducing start last night. We have a "hook" every year, and this year our first and second year Scouts had to plan a menu all on their own. This includes event info, roster, duty roster, meal planning, and shopping list.
Our first night is always breakfast. The anxiety came in because many of our older Scouts weren't there. BUT our younger Scouts did what they had to do and did it spectacularly! The judges all agreed that everything served to them was good.
Hawk Patrol was first in with pancakes and yogurt parfaits. They offered orange juice, milk, or water to drink. Although they really should have had some type of breakfast meat, the three youngest members of this patrol were the ones who were there (all 11 and under) and they REALLY did well.
Wolf Patrol went very traditional with eggs, bacon, and hash browns. Although they could have added some veggies to round the meal out, their planning form was perfect.
Cobra Patrol served breakfast bowls with all the fixin's, including chicken. They also served mixed berry parfaits and juice. Their planning form was a mess, but the food was served warm and tasty.
The Mighty Riveters served avocado "toast" with egg, cherry tomatoes, bacon, and balsamic vinegar. This was very visually appealing and tasty... but they forgot to serve drinks.
Who came out on top? Our Scouts can tell you but we are keeping silent. 🤐
Stay tuned for next week when our patrols get to make lunch... and work from planning forms filled out by first and second year Scouts.
