As President of BrightSpot Communities LLC, Georgia has also been a pioneering developer of sustainable and holistic communities. She serves as a ‘City of Tomorrow’ thought leader offering design and advice in developing affordable, vibrant and sustainable homes and neighborhoods. Georgia believes passionately in building and rebuilding communities focused on healing and transformation across all levels of the ecosystem. As a complement to her community work, Georgia is an established artist, poet, playwright, storyteller and Reiki healer harnessing the power of the transformative arts to heal trauma in communities. Her work has been featured in community-based theater and art galleries, online events, conferences and journal publications. As a global advocate for the prevention of sexual assault, Georgia’s greatest joy is leveraging creativity as a catalyst for healing and justice-making. In Fall 2021, Georgia’s art installation - #53 Vaginas and Vulvas© was invited as a feature at the Venice Italy International Art Fair (later disrupted by COVID restrictions). The framework for Georgia’s diverse career is grounded in her early-life calling to serve as a Minister and inspirer, with beliefs rooted in the appreciation of all faiths and the holy healing power of simple connection. For the past 22 years, she has studied a brought range of mind-body-spirit healing modalities and has created motivational programs and lectures aimed at rekindling the fire of hope and potential among trauma survivors.
