🌞🎶 Summer starts at Shaker Square!

Join us on Friday, June 19 from 7-9 PM, as the Shaker Square Summer Concert Series debuts for a season of music, community, and unforgettable summer evenings.

The series kicks off with The Xcetera Band, a high-energy live band delivering a feel-good mix of funk, soul, R&B, pop, and dance favorites guaranteed to keep the crowd moving from the first note to the last.

Bring a lawn chair, grab a blanket, and gather with friends, family, and neighbors on the greens of Shaker Square to enjoy live music under the summer sky.

The evening will feature a very exciting moment as we officially “flip the switch” on Destination Cleveland’s newest Illuminate CLE installation at Shaker Square. Inspired by Cleveland’s legacy as a city of innovation and light, Illuminate CLE is transforming public spaces through dynamic lighting experiences that bring communities together and create vibrant destinations after dark.

This concert is just the beginning. The 2026 Shaker Square Summer Concert Series features six free performances from June through August, showcasing an eclectic lineup of musical styles including R&B, soul, jazz, steel drums, and featured vocalists.

After many years of inactivity at the site, this work represents meaningful progress toward reinvigorating a prominent and highly visible corner of our community!

Clearing the site opens the door to many new possibilities! The goal of the owners is to attract a redevelopment project that can bring long-term value and positive momentum to our neighborhood. We're so excited to see how our partners will transform the site!
