Join us on Sunday, December 7th at 1:30 PM at the (2163 Lee Rd., Cleveland Hts., OH) for this powerful new documentary about the brave rescue effort to save animals trapped behind the front lines of the Russian-Ukrainian war. If you can't make it this Sunday, we hope you can join us on Wednesday, December 10th at 7:00 PM at the (1390 W 65th St., Cleveland, OH).

Drawing from first-hand footage, filmmaker Joshua Zeman's CHECKPOINT ZOO showcases a story of human compassion, bravery, and sacrifice during Ukraine's darkest hours -- shining a light on the best of humanity when it is all too easy to focus on the worst.
The Cleveland Vegan Society is excited to partner with Cleveland Cinemas to present two screenings of the powerful new documentary Checkpoint Zoo. While zoos can be a divisive issue in the vegan community, we can all appreciate the dedication of the brave people that risked their lives to save the animals trapped in the front lines after Russia invade Ukraine.
