Oh my gosh, guys. This makes my post so much more amazing. 😲

“In Job, Satan enters the presence of God and must receive permission before testing Job. He cannot go beyond the boundaries God sets. Not an inch further.

That tells us something crucial:
1. God is never surprised by our trials.
2. Satan is never sovereign.
3. Nothing touches your life unless it passes through God’s hands first.

Jesus didn’t deny Satan’s request in Luke 22.
But notice what He did say:

“I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail.”

The enemy may ask.
God may allow.
But Christ prays—and that changes everything.”

“Satan has asked to sift you as wheat.”
— Luke 22:31

That sentence alone can stop you in your tracks.

Because it reveals something many Christians don’t talk about—
Satan cannot touch God’s people without permission. And that’s a complex idea to wrap your mind around.

In Luke, Jesus tells Peter something startling:
Satan asked to sift the disciples.
Not attacked.
Not ambushed.
Asked.

And this wasn’t the first time we see this in Scripture.

In Job, Satan enters the presence of God and must receive permission before testing Job.

Jesus knew the sifting would come—but He also knew the outcome.

Sifting doesn’t mean destruction.
Sifting separates what is real from what is weak.
It shakes what can be shaken so what is genuine remains.

Satan’s goal is always to destroy faith.
God’s purpose is always to refine it.

Growing as a Christian means we tackle in faith the fact that if God didn’t cause it, He ultimately allowed it. And as people with big emotions that isn’t always an easy pill to swallow especially when we are referring to heartbreak or pain.

But here’s the part that brings peace:
Jesus is interceding while the sifting happens.

The enemy may ask.
God may allow.
But Christ prays—and that changes everything.

If you’re in a season that feels like shaking, testing, or pressure…
it doesn’t mean God has abandoned you.
It may mean He trusts what He’s already placed inside of you.

What Satan means for harm,
God uses for maturity, endurance, and deeper faith.

You’re not being destroyed.
You’re being refined.

I’m giving up true crime podcasts and TV shows for this year. I go to sleep at night listening to true crime podcasts, and I think it has desensitized me. 🫣 (Pics from 2024 CrimeCon.)

What is everyone else giving up for Lent?

Thinking about my upcoming blog post and saw this. I’m sharing super personal stuff about spiritual warfare, well aware some will be critical and some don’t believe it’s real. But when God tells you to share, you don’t worry about what the world thinks. You focus on obeying Him. ❤️
