~How do you carry out a patch/skin test? Apply a small amount of the self tan product with a cotton bud to the inner crease of the elbow or behind the ear and leave dry for 24hrs. If any contra-actions occur such as redness, swelling, inflammation or itching, avoid using the product as this is a positive reaction for sensitivity. If no reaction occurs then it is fine to proceed with the full body application.

~How do I prepare for my spray tan? Proper preparation makes all the difference in the results of your spray tan. It will look the best and last the longest if you prepare your skin beforehand. My motto is: "PLAN YOUR TAN!!!" Before your spray tan, you need to be completely free of any perfume, lotions, and deodorant. It's best to have shaved 24 hours beforehand. I do not recommend shaving right before your appointment. Before your spray, EXFOLIATE EXFOLIATE EXFOLIATE! I can't stress that enough. Using a loofah or sponge slough off any dead or try skin. Pay particular attention to areas of your body that stay dry. Be sure that your skin has no perfumes, deodorant, or lotion. Wear no facial makeup to your appointment if possible (mascara, eyeliner, and lipstick is okay.) If you are unable to be makeup free before your appointment I will provide you makeup wipes. Afterward you must have clothing that is ideally dark in color, and BAGGY. Tight clothing after a spray is a big no no! the best footwear is flip flops, and the best in summer is a loose sundress. Loose pajama pants and a t-shirt are great for winter.


~Do I have to be naked in front of you? If you are over 18 and female and WANT to be sprayed n**e I will and that is no problem. Otherwise women wear a bra & panties or a bathing suit. I provide ni**le covers if you prefer to have some coverage, but still have no noticeable tan lines up top. I also can spray you in a tube top, spaghetti strap tank top, short shorts, or whatever you as the client are comfortable in. If you only want your face, chest, arms, and legs sprayed; that is perfectly fine. Many of us are very "body conscious", so it's a commonality for people to shy away from getting a spray tan simply because they are embarrassed. Please everyone know that I judge no one, and think everyone is beautiful in their own unique way. ** judgement free zone with me **

~Will it ruin my clothes? It WILL transfer onto your clothes, however. I recommend wearing LOOSE comfortable flowy clothing afterwards. You will notice the spray tan solution on your clothing, sheets, and towels. Do not fret, as it is machine washable. I still advise to not wear your best or most expensive clothing just in case.

~How long do I need to wait to shower after my spray tan? I advise no showering, swimming, or sweating for ideally 8 hours to allow your tan to develop and avoid streaking. If I use a "rapid" formula on you and you need to rinse off sooner than 8 hours, I will advise you so.

~How long will my tan last? It depends on your skin type and how well you have prepared your skin for the spray tan. Individual results may vary, but a good spray tan should last 5-7 days. If you moisturize well between sprays your tan will last longer.

~What about men? Do you spray men? I absolutely will and have given men spray tans. I will not, however, give a male a spray tan n**e, as I am not comfortable with that. I will spray tan a man in conservative underwear or a bathing suit. Also, as a FYI, I do NOT have the type of tanning solution that is suitable for bodybuilding competitors. My product will only take your skin to a certain level of darkness. Eventually I may add that product, but for now I do not. Also, excessively hairy skin does not "spray tan" easily, so you may want to consider shaving your chest hair if it is thick.
