October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Theta Rho chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. is inviting Cleveland State University students to join them for a meaningful cause from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9. The group’s annual bake sale at Innerlink will include homemade treats, pink decorations and helpful information about breast cancer awareness and support.

This bake sale is more than just an opportunity to enjoy cookies or cupcakes, it’s a way to spread hope, unity and awareness.

“It’s about showing unity, spreading hope and reminding everyone that early detection can save lives,” said Makayla Pettiford, secretary and financial secretary for the Theta Rho chapter. “As members of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., service and community impact are at the heart of what we do.”
