This week SVD met with staff from the City of Cleveland to discuss the new Transportation Demand Management policy, which will help strengthen out infrastructure and make our streets more hospitable to pedestrians and public transit!

Welcome Home program — The 2023 Welcome Home down payment assistance program through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati (FHLBCIN) will be offered twice for 2023. It will open at 8:00 am on Monday, February 6, and Thursday, July 6, 2023.

The $10,000 in down payment assistance for home purchasers is limited by income levels and household size, as defined by the county and state where the borrower(s) is purchasing the residence. Borrowers do NOT have to be first time home buyers, but if they are, they must complete a first time home buyer counseling program. Purchase contracts and loan applications dated prior to February 6 are acceptable in some cases. The (FHLBCIN) Welcome Home funds can be used for down payment, however the borrower(s) must contribute a minimum of $500 of their own funds.

Available funds are limited, and once they are distributed, the program will end.
