Our mission is to rescue stray and/or abused cats and dogs and place them in good forever homes. We provide medical care to rescued animals and foster them in our own private homes. Prior to adoption all rescued animals are spayed/ neutered so that they do not continue the cycle of births that result in more pets than homes. Geauga County Dog Warden and staff have state's highest adoption rate for stray dogs If a man's best friend is a dog, then a lost dog's best friend must be Matt Granito. Although he has the title Geauga County Dog Warden, Granito is more like a humane officer than a dog catcher. With a 97-percent success rate, his department has the highest adoption rate in Ohio.
