Time Warp Restorations

I upcycled this piece for a customer and added cabinet space for a TV, computer, or other uses. Given that it lacked a couple of drawers, this modification seemed apt. The customer was thrilled, which made me extremely happy. 😁

This is just one piece of what most of the chairs we restore look like. I call it attempted murder of a chair. Just by taking a little more time this could be avoided because it does so much damage to the wood. Your antiques will thank you and so will we.

After another night of burning the midnight oil we completed one of 4 of these shield chairs. They were a little dull and in need of pick me up. We started with a new fabric for the seat and not to disturb what looked ok on the chair decided to lighten the inside of the shield to reveal the beauty of the mahogany.
