Diana Maldonado is a dedicated court professional whose career reflects a long-standing commitment to public service and operational excellence. She began her journey with Cleveland Housing Court in 1998 as Administrative Assistant to Judge Pianka, where she quickly developed a strong foundation in court operations and case management.
Over the years, Diana has served in a variety of roles—including Executive Assistant, Core Team Member, Project Coordinator, and Court Scheduler—each adding to her depth of knowledge and strengthening her ability to support the Court’s evolving needs. Her experience across multiple functions has made her an integral part of the Court’s operational framework.
In her current role as Personal Bailiff to Judge Wiltshire, Diana works closely with judges, attorneys, and court staff to ensure daily proceedings run smoothly, efficiently, and with careful attention to detail. Her ability to manage complex responsibilities in a fast-paced environment has earned her a reputation as a trusted and reliable member of the team.
Known for her professionalism, dependability, and strong problem-solving skills, Diana brings a collaborative approach to her work. She remains committed to improving processes, strengthening communication, and supporting effective outcomes for all who interact with the Court.

Moya Holly has dedicated nearly 20 years of service to the Cleveland Municipal Court, building her career on resilience, professionalism, and a strong commitment to helping others.
As a Housing Court Scheduler, she plays an important role in supporting the daily operations of the Court and ensuring that its work continues to serve the community effectively.
Outside of her work, Moya is a proud mother who finds inspiration in her daughter each day. She also enjoys traveling and exploring new experiences that broaden her perspective and appreciation for life.
During Women’s History Month, Cleveland Housing Court proudly recognizes Moya Holly for her years of service, her dedication to others, and the example she sets both professionally and personally.

Rochelle Slay is a Housing Court Specialist with more than 20 years of experience in public service. Her background includes work as a social worker with Cuyahoga County Children and Family Services, a Parole Officer for the State of Ohio, and a Family Advocate for the Centers for Families and Children.
She is deeply passionate about improving the lives of others and strongly believes that wherever she serves, she should leave the environment better than she found it.
Rochelle also considers her most important work to be her role as a wife to her husband of over 27 years and a mother to three wonderful children.

Rita White celebrates her second anniversary with Cleveland Housing Court on March 18, 2026. Over the past two years, she has been a valued member of the Housing Court team, committed to supporting the Court’s mission and serving the community.
Rita describes it as an honor to be part of Housing Court, striving each day to help fellow Clevelanders pursue stability and contentment in their housing and neighborhoods.

In recognition of Women’s History Month, Cleveland Housing Court is proud to highlight Sharon Newsom, Secretary for the Housing Court Specialist Department.
Sharon has served the City of Cleveland in the Justice Center for the past four years. She began as a Journalizer in the 3rd Floor Clerks’ Office, later moved to the Magistrates Department as Housing Court Scheduler, and now serves in her current role supporting the Housing Court Specialist Department.
Her work reflects dedication, consistency, and a strong commitment to public service.
Sharon was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, and is a graduate of the University of Toledo. She and her husband, Donald, recently celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary. They are the proud parents of three children and grandparents of two.

Markell Davis first joined the Cleveland Municipal Court Housing Division in 2019 under the leadership of then-Judge Ronald J. O’Leary, where she served with distinction until 2022.
She later returned to the Court, bringing more than eighteen years of experience in housing. Her background includes eleven years with the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority and three years with the City of University Heights. During her time with University Heights, she served as Housing Administrator and later as Director of Housing and Community Development.
Ms. Davis is a graduate of David N. Myers University. She is the proud mother of three and grandmother of two. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys international travel and values the opportunities to experience different cultures and destinations around the world.

Heather Veljkovic began her legal career with Cleveland Housing Court in 2000 and has served in multiple roles, including judicial clerk, staff attorney, and Magistrate. Her experience reflects a longstanding commitment to housing law and public service. She later served as Deputy General Counsel for the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission, where she focused on real estate matters, litigation, and major infrastructure initiatives.
Heather has returned to Cleveland Housing Court as Chief Magistrate, continuing her service to the community through leadership and the administration of justice.
