The wild boys of summer 🖤🤎 Well take a look at these guys way up on the mountain looking down on land that stretches as far as the eye can see. First Metolius, Coyote, then Rogue and Ariat, Suede and Pony Boy and finally at the very end Atsa turns his head finally to acknowledge the human who has dared to enter his kingdom. He would always rather the company of his band than people but he tolerates us and usually gives us his signature nose throw as if he’s quite clearly saying “hey you, shooo” and we do. How incredible these wild horses look, living off the land, running the hills back down to water before racing the wind back up to the top. Not a mark on any of them showing how sure footed and precise they are navigating this crazy landscape. Metolius looks like a mythical character from Lord of the Rings, with his long blanket of a mane and his powerful haunches. Suede and Pony Boy are joined at the hip and bonded from the first second they met and have never left each other’s sides. Ariat aloof and always slightly apart. Coyote hanging with the big boys Metolius and Rogue, as if somehow he knows they would protect him from anything and anybody. This is a good life, a life worth fighting for, a life worthy of them.
