So many things are wrong here. The switch was back-stabbed, a wire had come loose and caused a small fire that could have burned the house down. Wires are too short, and the wire to the right is missing too much insulation. Bought a new switch, added pigtails and wrapped the right wire with electrical tape. Stick a fork in it; it's done!
