Mid State Restoration

Yesterday, management from Mid State Restoration attended the Marcum Construction Summit where we listened to Speakers, Matthew Turkstra and Steven Ostrowski speak on politics in construction and newest robot laser technology (check out "Spot" below!!)
The Keynote Speaker was economist, Anirban Basu, who was fantastic and engaging in a way only those skilled in public speaking can be. I highly recommend everyone hearing him speak, if the opportunity ever arises for you!

This was a fun event with great energy among the crowd and we were very happy to be invited to attend!

November Employee Recognition

This month we've chosen Christopher Flora!

Chris has been with Mid State for the last 8 years, but has been doing mason work for the past 32 years. One of his favorite things to do is stone work and has a fascination with old stone masonry.

Chris has been working diligently alongside many employees on our crew at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery over the last couple years. He has been primarily setting the limestone capstones for their columbariums- and these babies are HUGE weighing in just about 4800 pounds each. He stated this was one of his favorite jobs to work at!

Chris has 3 grown kids and is challenging anyone that he has the Best Wife in the whole world, or at the very least, thinks he has the best wife who makes the best sandwiches in the whole world. He happily lets his eccentric flag fly and enjoys ghost hunting, fishing, and flying his drone.

Thank you, Chris, for always taking on any task we have for you and doing it well! Not sure we have any hauntings in the office, but if I find any, I'm hoping you'll take care of it for me!

Forest City Shuffleboard put together a pretty kick ass setting for us to treat our guys to an employee appreciation party this evening. Thanks to them for being great but a HUGE thank you to all our guys and the work they put in every single day! This crew works hard and parties harder especially when our Guardians beat the Yankees!!!! ⚾️❤💙🍻
