I’d like everyone to meet the Fresh Start Cleaning team:

Me.

That’s it. That’s the team. 😂

Some days we’re crushing it. Some days we’re looking for our phone while talking on it 💪🙈😂🐬🧼

My passenger seat today: flowers. 🌸🌺🌼
My trunk: mulch.
My bank account: ‘We came for dirt Katie.
Me: ‘I know… but look how pretty they are.’ 😂

Now let’s see how long I can keep these babies alive! 🌸💪😂

Between cleaning houses, organizing everyone’s lives, and convincing myself I don’t need just one more plant, this should be interesting.

Wish me luck! 🌺🐬💙”

When I walked into this spare bedroom, I thought, “Yep… this is gonna take us days.” 😂

This sweet lady has been through more than her fair share of life’s challenges and had become completely overwhelmed by her home. She told me she cries some days because she doesn’t know where to begin.

So today, we began.

We rolled up our sleeves, grabbed some trash bags, and started tackling the room piece by piece. Before we knew it, we were covered in dust, sharing laughs, and making progress that neither of us expected.

We uncovered furniture, cleared pathways, and transformed a room that felt overwhelming into a space she and her husband can start enjoying again.

This room still needs some love, but when we stepped back and looked at how far we’d come, even I felt that sense of relief and satisfaction.

At the end of the day, she gave me a hug with tears in her eyes.

And honestly, moments like that are worth far more than any dollar I’ll ever make.

That’s why I love what I do. It’s not just about cleaning. It’s about helping people take their home back one room at a time. 💙

Anybody else cleaning their house to songs that would’ve gotten them grounded 25 years ago? Asking for a friend… 😂

Parents, this one’s for you. 💙

While I’m cleaning your home, I’m also tackling the little things that often get overlooked—like the army of bath toys hiding in the tub. 🦆🦖🐠

Every toy gets washed, disinfected, rinsed, and ready for the next splash session.

Because a Fresh Start isn’t just about clean floors—it’s about the details too. ✨

😂 Kids are the best.

I found toys in places I never would have thought to look, a few missing treasures that had apparently vanished months ago, and enough stuffed animals to start a small zoo.

Honestly, organizing all the stuffies was probably my favorite part. Each one got a home, the toys got rounded up, and the room went from “where do we even start?” to calm, clean, and ready for new adventures- and stuffy fights.

There’s just something satisfying about turning a little chaos into a space everyone can enjoy again.

P.S. If you’re missing a toy, check under the bed. It’s always under the bed. 😂🐻🦖🧸

People tell me I work too much.
Maybe they’re right. 😂
But honestly, creating order out of chaos is therapy for me. A clean space, a finished project, and a happy client recharge me more than most people realize.
That’s why I love what I do. 💙🐬

People often call me a workaholic, but what many don’t realize is that ADHD and anxiety both play a huge role in it.

ADHD brains don’t process dopamine the same way. Dopamine is the chemical that helps with motivation, focus, reward, and feeling accomplished. Because my brain naturally struggles to get enough of it, I’m constantly drawn to things that give me that dopamine boost finishing a project, crossing something off a list, helping someone, seeing before-and-afters, accomplishing a goal.

That’s why I can spend hours cleaning, teaching, creating content, or tackling a huge project. My brain loves the challenge and the reward that comes with seeing progress. Every finished task gives me a little hit of dopamine that helps me stay motivated and focused.

Then anxiety joins the party. When I’m stressed or overwhelmed, staying busy gives my mind somewhere to put all that energy. Instead of sitting with anxious thoughts, I focus on the next task, the next room, the next goal.

The downside is that I don’t always realize when I’m running on empty. ADHD can make me chase the dopamine, and anxiety can make me feel like I should keep going. Together, they can make slowing down feel uncomfortable, even when I need it most.

So if you’ve ever wondered why I’m always doing something, it’s not because I think my worth is tied to productivity. It’s because my brain is wired differently. I’m still learning that rest has value too, even if it doesn’t give me the same dopamine hit as crossing another thing off my to-do list.

Can anyone else relate?
