Bird Paradise

For most species of parrots, the only way to determine whether they are male or female is with a DNA test. There are a few species, however, where we can determine the s*x based on physical attributes! Parrotlets are an excellent example of such species. Males are identifiable by the deep, “true blue” color found by their eyes, on the front of their wings, and on their rumps, whereas female Parrotlets are identified by a turquoise pigment in the same areas. 💙🦜
